What is Leap of Kindness Day?
On Saturday, February 29, 2020, we all have one additional day in this #LeapYear.
We believe the best way to use this one extra day is to do something kind for someone else. We call this Leap of Kindness Day.
The 2016 Leap of Kindness Day initiative was invented and managed in Saratoga County by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce. But the idea spread within the Chamber community and ultimately we believe there were more than 50 chambers of commerce in 30 states that organized their own Leap of Kindness Day events.
So as the 2020 Leap Year approaches, we are inviting everyone in Yorba Linda (and beyond) to celebrate February 29, 2020, as Leap of Kindness Day.
You can join our #leapofkindnessday celebration simply by doing something kind for someone else. If someone else does something kind for you, then pay it forward.
You can band together with your coworkers and organize a food or clothing drive. You can champion your own community's celebration of Leap of Kindness Day.
However you choose to participate, we're here to help. So what will you do with your extra day in 2020?

What will you do with the extra day we all get this Leap Year, on Saturday, February 29, 2020?
Our idea - - take part in Leap of Kindness Day and do something kind for someone else. To help you participate, we reached out to local nonprofits in Yorba Linda and asked them for some ideas. While you can wait to deliver any items you might donate, we encourage everyone to start collection activities within your workplace or organization as soon as possible to maximize your participation and community impact. We are also inviting our members and other local organizations to share with us their own creative ideas for participating in Leap of Kindness Day this year.
